Director of the Café Ministry—Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL is seeking a part-time Ministry Director to facilitate an outreach ministry through the new Good Shepherd Café. The Director of the Café Ministry must have an overwhelming passion for people, the café and its ministry. He/she will lead the café team and direct the operations of the café by working with the other Ministry Directors to develop programs and events for their ministries, and inviting and encouraging the public to make use of the café. All net proceeds from the café ministry will go to support other ministries. The Director will work with an advisory board to establish policy and
procedures, and provide direction, support & training to the volunteer staff while working as a barista, greeting and caring for the guests. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years prior experience in management of a café, coffee house or restaurant establishment and the vision to direct a new
outreach ministry.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL, is seeking a part-time Director of Traditional Worship to provide vision, direction and leadership for traditional worship with an emphasis on music. The Director will work with the Pastors and creative team to plan and lead weekly worship services and engage the congregation through liturgy, drama, visuals arts, and multi-media so that they come to know and love God. The Director will be expected to develop a vibrant, comprehensive, traditional music ministry to include vocal choirs, instrumental ensembles, and special music programs. Good Shepherd is a multi-venue worship community with weekly traditional, contemporary and alternative worship opportunities. The Director will also collaborate with the contemporary and alternative worship leaders to enhance multi-venue worship.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and 3 to 5 years related experience in conducting, teaching or performance. Candidate should have an understanding of Lutheran heritage and an appreciation for all styles of worship. Good Shepherd is an energetic, authentic, spirit-filled, creative church of approximately 3800 members in the western suburbs of Chicago.
